This week's brand new "Keeping up with the Kardashians" is sure to bring a tear to your eye. Previews for the episode show just how concerned matriarch Kris Jenner and the rest of the family have become for Rob Kardashian.

The 28-year-old Kardashian brother has spent the last year hiding from the public eye while dealing with anxiety and weight gain. Rob has resurfaced briefly on social media various times, only arousing more worries about the state of his mental health. People magazine reported late last month that the family tried countless times to organize interventions for the troubled young man. Unfortunately, as viewers will see in this week's "KUWTK," he has not been receptive to therapy.

Clips show 59-year-old Kris in tears as she reveals she often worries her son is "going to die." In her confessional interview, Kris shares that she sought out the help of a life coach. She hopes to sit down with the coach, alongside daughters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, to discuss Rob's current condition. She apparently did so without Khloé Kardashian's knowledge, as she knows the 30-year-old has been protective of her little brother in the past.

"He's gained over 100 pounds in the last year," Kris told the life coach through tears. "He's missed Christmas, he missed Kim's wedding."

While Kris appears to be ready to do whatever she can to help her son, other members of the family are fed up with his behavior. Another preview, released Thursday, shows Kim suggesting to her mother that it may be time to "give it up." She insists that everyone's been going out of their way to accommodate Rob for too long and seeing no results.

This isn't the first time the 34-year-old Kim has suggested using tough love on her brother. During previous seasons of "Keeping up with the Kardashians," she has been noticeably frustrated by Rob's constant flakiness and unwillingness to seek help. She's not alone in her frustrations. During the short preview Kourtney backs Kim up, saying the family has "been overcompensating" for Rob since his father died in 2003.

Despite their lack of hope, Khloé stands strong by Rob's side. After initially feeling angry toward her family for their intervention plans, she gets on board and tries to convince Rob to seek help. Scenes from the episode show the outspoken Kardashian sister crying as she asks her brother if he feels it's fair to put her through this yet again. Not only has Khloé been there for her brother since he began battling his demons, but she was forced to go through similar struggles with Lamar Odom. Toward the end of their marriage Khloé struggled to keep tabs on her then-husband, who was believed to be battling substance abuse issues. Odom frequently disappeared for days on end, sparking rumors that he was being unfaithful.

The dramatic episode airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT on E!
