Princess Diana shares some distinct qualities with her niece, Lady Kitty Spencer.

During a recent interview, Princess Diana’s former makeup artist Mary Greenwell, who worked closely with the late Princess of Wales, shared some of the similarities between the mom of two and Spencer.

“Diana was so willing and open – as is Victoria, and as is Kitty… just sort of free – there’s a sense of freedom with all of them. I think the sense of freedom is actually very important, that then they didn’t feel stifled by their upbringing and their circumstances,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

Meanwhile, Spencer also talked about the sudden influx of attention she received after she was spotted at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding on May 19, 2018.

The supermodel said that she did not expect to receive such a huge buzz during her appearance at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Spencer did not also expect that her social media followers would increase from 17,000 to half a million in one night.

“I thought I had someone else’s phone when I woke up the next morning. I had to turn my notifications off because my phone was going to die,” she said.

According to the publication, Spencer was only 6 years old when Princess Diana died in a fatal car crash in Paris on Aug. 31, 1997. But even after her aunt’s death, Spencer revealed that she has been compared to her several times.

Not only do both of them have blonde locks; they also have similar smiles and wide blue eyes. Both Spencer and Princess Diana are also relatively tall and slender. The supermodel has also worked with Princess Diana’s former makeup artist. According to Greenwell, Spencer took her back in time when she did her makeup.

Spencer is signed with Storm Management, and she made her runway debut in 2017. She has been signed with the agency for the past four years.
