A new teaser of “Kung Fu Panda 3” has emerged online. It is inspired by J.J. Abrams “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” and has been titled as “The Father Rises.” It opens with a raspy voice as the text “Nothing can prepare you for the legend” appears on the black screen. Po’s long lost father Li, voiced by Bryan Cranston, is shown climbing the stairs.

He is shown getting tired as he reaches Po, who is standing at the top of the stairs. “I am your father,” he tells Po. He then lies down on the stairs and says, “what’s with all the stairs.” Po looks at his father in shock. Crane is shown asking Po who is this guy and why is he breathing so heavily. The teaser ends with Crane telling Po that heavy breathing of Li is “creepy.”

The third installment in the “Kung Fu Panda” series will see Po reuniting with his father Li. The official synopsis of the film reads as, “When Po's long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters. But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the Kung Fu masters, Po must do the impossible—learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas.”

The film will reportedly feature a beautiful Panda village, which has been inspired by Sichuan, China. Entertainment Weekly recently revealed the concept arts of the panda village. According to production designer Raymond Zibach, the village will be shown from the perspective of Po.

Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni have directed the film from the screenplay by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. The film will feature the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, James Hong, Bryan Cranston, Rebel Wilson and J. K. Simmons.
