Video of a leopard swiftly attacking a huge snake has gone viral on social media, giving people chills.

The 48-second video, posted on Twitter by Susanta Nanda of the Indian Forest Services, showed the leopard walking on a rocky terrain when a snake blocks its pathway. The animal slowly walks toward the reptile before attacking it with its paw. Moments later, the leopard holds the reptile in its mouth and walks along.

"Leopards are opportunistic hunters. Here it takes care so swiftly," the officer captioned the post.

Several people took to the comments section to speak about the predator’s speed, most of whom assumed the snake to be a python.

"That's a python, still he runs risk of strangulation with such constrictors. The snake looks smaller and he quite powerful. The odds are on his side," one person commented.

"Distracts python with his Paw and then the killer Grab. Highly skilled predator," another person wrote.

"Flash of a lightning ... He's that quick!!! Whoa!" wrote another user.

Just two days before posting the video, the officer had shared another footage of a tiger clearing the way for a python.

In the 44-second video, the reptile is seen horizontally crossing the path. The tiger stands beside the reptile and changes sides before eventually clearing the way for the python by going inside a bushy area.

The video went viral on social media, leaving people bewildered. Many of them took to the comments section to say that people need to learn these traits from the animals.

"Such a fabulous video showing great understanding and cooperative-existence among our animal friends - traits that we humans, need to learn," one person wrote.

"Seemz the Tiger was in peaceful mode.. or else wud have ripped that python for raising his head," wrote another user.

"Really? Has Tiger gave way? No I don't think. While Python doesn't hv any chance against Tiger, the tiger wl defntly take chance. Unless it's tummy full," another person wrote.
