“The Lion King 3D” remained No. 1 for the second consecutive week beating four other new films at the box office, and raking in $22.1 million despite dropping 27 percent week-on-week.

The 17 year-old movie was created by Walt Disney Feature Animation. After its re-release on Blue-ray/DVD for one week, the 3-D version has brought about $61.7 million, making its total profit jump to $390.2 million.
