“Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” is back for its second season, as “L&HH New York” aired its season finale on Monday night.

The popular reality show is set to premiere on April 22 on VHI, and shows no end to the drama from Atlanta’s cast last season. Cast members Stevie J, Joseline Hernandez, Mimi Faust and Momma Dee are all shown in the preview clip, and it is unclear whether the other castmates are set to return.

“L&HH Atlanta” ended last August, and often was the top cable show, according to Nielsen TV ratings. The season one finale pulled in a series high of 4.4 million viewers.

While the season’s reunion show tried to clear up numerous rumors that went on throughout the series produced by Mona Scott-Young, it is evident that there is more drama for the cast members to fight about on the upcoming season.

Throughout the season, many critics argued that the show gave a negative portrayal of African-American women, and only worsened stereotypes representing black women as weak and sexually promiscuous.

Scott-Young tried to negate such commentary on last season’s reunion show saying, "This show was never supposed to be a representation of African-American women everywhere. This show is about your lives, your struggles. And you have every right to tell them."
