“Lucifer” Season 2 recently dropped a new teaser ahead of this month’s premiere. The clip featured onscreen duo Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German).

The teaser opened with Chloe telling Luficer that it is their task to find out “who did this.” Unfortunately, the character didn’t elaborate on what it is that they need to investigate. “We’ll punish those who deserve it,” Lucifer added.

In Season 1, Lucifer and Chloe typically tracked down the villainous characters who have been contributing to the evils of the world. “Doing the devil’s work never felt so good,” Lucifer continued.

Lucifer and Chloe will continue to have multiple scenes together in “Lucifer” Season 2. However, the latter will also have plenty of backstories to be explored. According to TV Line, Chloe’s dad John (Chris Payne Gilbert) will guest star in multiple episodes. John will be featured in a series of flashbacks because he was killed 10 years ago when Chloe was just starting her career.

Meanwhile, the official title for “Lucifer” Season 2, episode 8 has already been released. According to the hit FOX TV show’s writers, it will be entitled “Trip to Stabby Town.” The episode was written by Jeff Lieber and directed by Nathan Hope. Fans of “Lucifer” couldn’t help but speculate on what the installment is about. Some are suggesting Lucifer would want to have his mom Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) killed. Other fans think that Lucifer will head to a dangerous town where he could also get into trouble.

“Lucifer” Season 2 will also shed light on Charlotte’s recent escape from hell. According to TV Line, it’s possible that Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) had something to do with it. In the teaser released by FOX, Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) asked Lucifer if he thinks Maze was connected to Charlotte’s escape.

“Lucifer” Season 2 will premiere on FOX on Sept. 19 at 9 p.m. ET.
