A doting dad to daughter Everly, Channing Tatum wrote an article where he shared his visions and hopes for his little girl.

In honor of the launching of ”Magic Mike Live” in Las Vegas, the “Magic Mike XXL” star was invited by his friends at Cosmopolitan to write for his fans. However, as he collected his thoughts, he imagined his daughter in her late teens or 20s.

“I tried to imagine the things I’d want her to read that would help her understand men and sex and partnership better, and at that moment, I realized a strange thing,” Tatum wrote. “I don’t want her looking to the outside world for answers. My highest hope for her is just that she has the fearlessness to always be her authentic self, no matter what she thinks men want her to be.”

The “21 Jump Street” star saw this character in his wife, Jenna Dewan. Tatum recalled the day Dewan told him that he was all that she wanted in life. It was a huge risk for his “Step Up” co-star because she didn’t know how he would react, but for “The Vow” star it was the sexiest thing that his wife had ever done for him.

“That radical authenticity of hers was what made me fall head over heels in love,” Tatum explained. “And that’s what I want for my daughter — to be expectation-less with her love and not allow preconceived standards to affect her, to ask herself what she wants and feel empowered enough to act on it.”

Based on their relationship timeline, Tatum and Dewan became official in August 2006. They got engaged in September 2008. The “Dear John” star popped up the question in Maui, wed in July 2009 and announced their pregnancy in 2012.

Tatum and Dewan welcomed their daughter, Everly, in June 2013. The actor admitted that he was emotional when his wife gave birth. “I probably went to the bathroom four times and had a crying fit. Like, I’m just like, ‘I don’t know what to do!’” he told Us Weekly.

In 2013, Tatum told Elle that he didn’t plan his relationship with Dewan. “I had just gotten out of a pretty long relationship, so I was in no way ready for another. I was trying to run from what I knew Jenna was—not someone I was just going to date,” he admitted. “But one of my buddies was like, ‘What are you doing, man? She’s dope.’ That night I showed up at her hotel room with a sombrero on, and that was it.”

However, Dewan had a more detailed version. According to the “Tamara” star, Tatum’s bed was right above hers. He went out partying with a bunch of dancers, got drunk and banged on her door with a sombrero. “I couldn’t stop thinking about you. Let’s do this. I just want to be with you,” the “She’s The Man” star told her and since then they were inseparable.
