Disney has finally released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil. With this movie, Angelina Jolie will be back on the big screen, which is a sequel of the 2014 blockbuster Maleficent.

As Jolie will reprise her character of the evil fairy queen Maleficent, Ell Fanning too will be reprising her role of Princess Aurora. Besides Angie and Elle, yet another gorgeous actress has joined the cast of the movie, that being Michelle Pfeiffer who will be seen portraying the character of Queen Ingrith.

Well, that’s a lot of beauty for one movie, isn’t it?

Anyway, back to the trailer, which is set several years ahead of the original events that took place in the previous movie.

3The trailer gives a good look at all the important characters of the movie. It opens with Ingrith narrating that she remembers the story of an evil witch and the princess who was cursed to sleep forever.

And soon Maleficent’s horn makes an entry, followed by the winged witch, who can be seen in full action. In one of the scenes, Prince Philip can be seen proposing to Princess Aurora.

The high-point of the whole trailer is the epic scene when Maleficent enters the castle to meet the King and the Queen and with her glowing green eyes say: “There are many who prey on the innocent. I’m sure your kind would agree,” to which Ingrith responds, “If I didn’t know better I’d say you were making a threat.” “Well, do you?” Maleficent asks before Ingrith shoots back, “Do I what?” To which she slyly purrs, “Know better.”

This chilling showdown soon turns into a battleground as Maleficent unleashes her power. And there are various shots from the epic battle that will take place supposedly between Maleficent and Queen Ingrith.

The movie is set to hit the theatres on Oct. 18, going head-on against Zombieland 2: Double Tap and The Hunt.
