Despite abandoning Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and leaving her family behind to be with her ex-convict boyfriend Geno Doak, Mama June’s family still wants her back and they are not giving up on their planned intervention to take her away from her beau.

According to TMZ, Alana and the rest of their family are planning to stage a Hail Mary with Mama June by having just a few minutes with the troubled reality star. They hope that through this, the WE tv actress would come to her senses and obtain professional help for her addiction problems.

Close family sources disclosed to the entertainment news outlet that Mama June’s sister Joanne is spearheading this final effort to win back Mama June’s trust and for the latter to finally get the help she needs.

As part of their final intervention, Joanne went to see her sister when Mama June and Geno showed up in an Alabama court last Wednesday. A video taken during their encounter shows Joanne begging Mama June to go grab lunch with her so they could talk. Joanne even follows the couple to their car, but then Mama June slams the door in her sister’s face.

Sources said that Joanne has been doing her best to speak with her sister, but she’s being avoided by Mama June. Earlier this month, Joanne showed up in court hoping to see Mama June there, but the latter was a no-show. Joanne has also been calling Mama June’s phone, but no one’s answering.

Last week when Mama June and Geno made an appearance in court, the former was noticeably quiet. As they were heading to the courthouse, she remained silent. On the other hand, Geno made a slur-filled rant when they were approached by photographers and reporters, according to The Blast.

The star of “Mama June: From Not To Hot” and her boyfriend were arrested back in March due to possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. At their latest court appearance, Geno shouted “Not guilty!” while exiting the place. He also told reporters that “they owe us a million dollars.”

It should be noted that Mama June recently sold her home in Hampton, Georgia to buy an RV and travel around the country with Geno. After news about Mama June’s move to sell her house broke, Honey Boo Boo took to social media to open up about her personal struggles.

Ever since Mama June abandoned her youngest daughter, the “Toddlers & Tiaras” star has been living with her older sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and husband Joshua Efird. In her lengthy post, Alana said that she’s been through “hell” this year, but she is now “more happy” because of the support and encouraging words she’s been receiving from the people who truly matter to her.
