A Taiwanese man was sentenced to nine-year imprisonment Wednesday after he killed his friend for touching his genitals during a drinking session.

In December 2017, the accused, identified as Jian, invited his friend Xiao over to his residence at night for drinks. During the drinking session, Xiao kept touching Jian’s arm. Suddenly, Xiao pulled down the accused’s jeans zipper and proceeded to touch his genitals.

The accused, who was uncomfortable, pushed his friend’s hand away and told him he did not like what was happening. The victim, however, ignored and continued touching him. At one point, the accused lost his cool and hit his friend using his fists. He then began hitting Xiao with the metal table leg. The victim then tried escaping but was unsuccessful. The accused continued to beat the victim until he fell unconscious near Jian’s bed. The accused then fell asleep and when he woke up the following afternoon, he noticed Xiao was lying motionless. He went near the victim and realized that he wasn’t breathing.

Jian immediately rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced brought dead. The autopsy revealed that the victim had multiple lacerations and injuries all over the body including fractures ribs and bleeding on the scalp.
