After teasing a fight sequence in “The Mandalorian” trailer, there is now confirmation that the two aliens the bounty hunter was fighting are in fact Trandoshans. Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal has explained how his character in the TV series is different from the fan favourite Boba Fett.

Trandoshans are an alien race in “Star Wars” galaxy who are mostly seen as either slavers or bounty hunters. A new still from the upcoming live-action TV series posted on Entertainment Weekly confirms that the alien race will return.

Bossk was a Trandoshan bounty hunter introduced in the Original Trilogy. The character may not be returning on the show, at least in the first season. The pictures tease that just as Han Solo (Harrison Ford) had a problem with Bossk, so too will Pascal’s character with the Trandoshans.

Pascal’s character has a costume that is similar to Boba Fett. However, the actor explained in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the two are very different. He pointed out that the Original Trilogy character was actually a clone who was “indoctrinated” into the bounty hunter’s way of life, which makes his character in “The Mandalorian” the real deal by comparison.

Pascal teased that his character operates in a “much more unforgiving landscape.” He lives in a world where “might is right” and it is even difficult to survive. He also confirmed that the TV series will explore the culture of the planet Mandalore and its people.

The main plot of the TV series is set in a time just after the fall of the Empire. The bounty hunter makes a living in the Outer Rim, which is far away from the New Republic that will attempt to establish law and order in the core worlds. The poster of the show also teased the Pascal’s ship, which he is expected to use to keep the people and bounties he captures and travel to different planets.

“The Mandalorian” will be released on Disney+ streaming service on Nov. 22.
