The wait for the first trailer of “The Mandalorian” may not be a long one. Disney may be preparing a video to show to the fans at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration event. The event will be huge because Disney is also expected to unveil a teaser for “Star Wars: Episode 9.”

Star Wars Celebration will take place between April 11 and 15. Todd Spangler, who is an editor at Variety, teased on Twitter recently that Disney is planning to showcase some of its original content to investors on the first day of the event. This content will be for the upcoming streaming service that the company is planning to launch later this year.

The biggest original project for the Disney+ streaming service at the moment is the first live action TV series helmed by Jon Favreau, “The Mandalorian.” According to Star Wars News Net, if Favreau has some footage ready, there is a good chance that it will be shown at Star Wars Celebration.

Filming of “The Mandalorian” has been ongoing for a few months now. The cast members of the TV series have already been announced. Pedro Pascal will be playing the lead role, a lone warrior who operates far from the influence of the New Republic. The plot is set at a time after the fall of the Empire and before the rise of the First Order.

Favreau has been teasing pictures from the production set. Fans can expect to see familiar characters like the Assassin Droid IG-88 on the show.

Favreau teased an image on Instagram of the prop that has been built to bring back IG-88 on the big screen. It remains to be seen which other character from the “Star Wars” universe will be featured in “The Mandalorian.”
