At least three people were shot as a man open-fired at East 112 Street & 3 Avenue in Manhattan, New York.

Up to nine gunshots were heard from 2055 3rd Avenue around 8:00pm, Monday. The New York Police Department have blocked off the area. Several ambulances have been deployed to the scene and all victims were brought to Harlem Hospital.

According to police, at least three men have been shot -- two 18-year-olds and a 23-year-old -- in what is believed to be a gang-related shooting. One victim was shot in the back while the other two sustained gunshots in the legs. Five casings were also recovered from the scene.

Previous reports suggested one of the victims would not survive. Police have since clarified that all three victims are in stable condition and expected to survive.

Police have also requested a citywide hospital canvass to check for additional gunshot victims, Citizen.com reports.

No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting and the suspect is believed to still be at-large.

A Level 1 mobilization was activated and the search for the suspect is now underway. Additional units have been assigned to search for the gunman and Aviation Units are also assisting.
