“Married at First Sight” couples can be a little awkward at first, but watching Henry and Christina throughout Season 11 has been pretty painful. The couple has had their guards up, but they are finally starting to connect on the Lifetime reality show. International Business Times has an exclusive look at their turning point from Wednesday’s new episode.

In the clip, Henry and Christina are working on their homework from the experts, which includes asking some personal questions. Henry asks Christina what she fears most about their relationship.

“Honestly, in the beginning, that I just wouldn’t have fun anymore, that I was just gonna lose myself again to somebody else that was just not my idea of fun,” Christina says.

Luckily, she’s overcoming that fear. “I’m starting to see the fun sides of you, and you do have fun,” she adds. “You do like to have a good time, and I do like to be serious sometimes too.”

Still, she has concerns about their dynamic. When Henry gets uncomfortable, she feels like everything is on her. “But you clam up in a lot of uncomfortable situations and I feel like I have to carry it. I think that’s like the biggest thing, I would say,” she explained.

Henry knows that he’ll often “fold up” when he’s uncomfortable. “What I know I can promise is to treat you with respect and be loyal and committed and put forth the effort,” he says. He adds that he really is trying and “Married at First Sight” is definitely forcing him to open up more.

“It’s something that pushes me in a lot of different ways, but I’m trying my best to become more and more comfortable with the situation,” he says.

“This process has been really difficult for me, but I would like to see all of that pay off for a good relationship and a good marriage,” Henry explains. “I think there’s a lot of momentum and our chemistry is certainly much better than the first few weeks. And that’s on my part because I was just like so folded up. I was like a turtle on a beach.”

“Turtles are cool,” Christina assures him.
