“Married at First Sight” Season 8 couple Luke and Kate have been having a hard time. Kate’s friends aren’t thrilled about their struggles in a new episode 8 clip, exclusive to International Business Times.

The video (which has spoilers for Tuesday night's episode) shows Kate as she explains that she and Luke sat down with Dr. Pepper Schwartz, one of Lifetime’s “Married at First Sight” experts. That is when she learned that her husband told the producers and the expert that he thinks Kate has a drinking problem.

“He said that he thinks I’m using drinking as a coping mechanism to deal with the stress of the situation and living with him,” she revealed.

Kate’s friends are shocked because they know that’s not true. Kate says it’s all OK, though. Luke told her that a drunk driver killed his best friend, so she understands where he’s coming from. “After he opened up and was honest, I do feel like I trust him more and want to be around him more,” Kate says.

"Married at First Sight" star Kate feels like things are going well with Luke, but her friends want to give her a reality check. Lifetime

Her friends don’t have the same reaction. They question why he’d go to other people with the concern first. They think she is being too understanding. Kate assures them that he really is a good guy. She thinks the only “missing piece” is the fact that Luke still isn’t attracted to her.

“That just rubbed me the wrong way and gave me a bad impression,” one of her friends tells the cameras. “Luke is really just not treating Kate the way she deserves to be treated, and I’m just worried that she’s going to get hurt.”

Her other friend questions if Luke actually said that he isn’t attracted to her. Kate gives a little laugh when she confirms that he’s told her that “many times.”

“I’m worried about you,” her friend says.

Kate assures them that this is different, but her friends are definitely concerned.

Luke and Kate aren’t the only ones with issues in “Married at First Sight” Season 8, episode 8. Kristine will be concerned after finding some sexy photos on Keith’s phone.

“Married at First Sight” Season 8, episode 8 airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
