Netizens shared their thoughts on why Meghan Markle always cradles her baby bump.

Experts have already explained why the Duchess of Sussex couldn’t stop rubbing her tummy in public. One said that women are instinctively drawn to this gesture because it produces oxytocin. Another said that Markle is doing so because it makes her look demure and regal.

Netizens also took to social media to air their thoughts on why Markle keeps on cradling her baby bump. Many of them didn’t really like this gesture and slammed the duchess.

“SHE IS SERIOUSLY INSECURE, DON'T KID YOURSELVES,” one user wrote on Twitter.

“Why can't Meghan Markle keep her hands off her bump?” another user wrote and answered her own question with “Definitely Acting lol..”

Meanwhile, Geoff Kernow thinks that Markle is doing this gesture for “reassurance.”

Prince Harry’s wife has been photographed touching her baby bump whenever she’s out and about. The public has had too much of Markle resting her hands on her growing baby bump that they already find the gesture annoying. Netizens attacked Markle online for this gesture.

One Twitter user urged the Duchess of Sussex to stop it because it won’t “fall off.” Another netizen also called out Markle, saying they are well aware that she’s pregnant and the royal need not remind them by rubbing her tummy all the time.

Markle was first criticized for touching her baby bump when she and Prince Harry were still in Sydney. Shortly after their pregnancy announcement, the public noticed how Markle kept on touching her belly and her non-existent baby bump at the time.

One netizen said that Markel’s photos of touching, holding or cradling her baby bump are just too much. A different user advised Markle to give her bump a break because everyone already knows that she’s expecting a baby already.

In related news, Markle’s year-long maternity leave may be canceled. Initially, there were reports claiming that the duchess will have six months more maternity leave than her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge took a six-month leave after giving birth to Prince Louis.

However, there seemed to be some changes in Markle’s schedule. The pregnant royal’s calendar is full and she’s expected to immediately return to her royal duties after her delivery.
