Meghan Markle is reportedly miserable and she gave Prince Harry an ultimatum to choose between her and his family.

The Duchess of Sussex allegedly convinced her husband to leave the royal family.

“Meghan is so miserable that she can’t face being stuck in the UK for much longer,” a source told Life & Style magazine.

“She wants to move to Southern Africa. And she effectively gave him an ultimatum: If they don’t relocate, she wants out. It’s her or his family at this point, and Harry’s chosen his wife.”

According to the report, Markle has grown tired of how the royals meddle in her life and her need to follow different protocols, many of which she finds “old fashioned and stuffy.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly planning to extend their tour to Africa. Prince Harry and Markle have agreed to spend at least half of the year in Southern Africa and live in the middle of nowhere. Being away from the royal family would be a dream come true for them.

This isn’t the first time that that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reported to leave the royal family. In 2108, there were rumors that the couple would quit royal lives. OK! published a cover story asserting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were planning to leave the royal family for the sake of their unborn child.

The report claimed that the duo wanted to leave their royal lives behind and Prince Harry was willing to give up his title and $150 trust fund. They were reportedly planning to make the announcement after their tour to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga. Apparently, it didn’t happen.

Prince Harry is known to be a “reluctant royal.” Several sources said that even before he met and married Markle, he already considered leaving his royal life. It even came to a point when Queen Elizabeth II had to convince him to stay and continue his royal duties.

Royal author Angela Levin also believed that Prince Harry often thinks of leaving the royal family. However, Markle is unlikely to support him.

“I don’t think Meghan would quite like that now. Now he’s married, he’s got an established family, they’re very tight together and he wants to do his own thing,” Levin said.
