Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have already left Canada.

In January, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they would be stepping back as senior members of the royal family. They immediately flew to Canada after the announcement.

They stayed in Vancouver with their son Archie, but they returned to the U.K. earlier this month to carry out their final engagements as royals. Markle returned to Canada after joining Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William and Kate Middleton for the Commonwealth Day service. Prince Harry stayed behind for a couple of days more before reuniting with his wife and son. He flew to Canada just in time before Prime Minister Justin Trudeau closed its borders.

However, a source confirmed to People that Prince Harry and Markle are already in the U.S. The Sussexes are reportedly in Los Angeles and are staying in a secluded compound.

Prince Harry and Markle’s move to the U.S. wasn’t a total shock since a person close to Markle already said a few months back that they were “looking at houses in L.A.”

“Harry is looking straight ahead at his future with his family,” an insider said. “They will be spending time in California…He’s not looking back.”

Twitter users mocked the couple for moving to U.S. where there are more paparazzi compared to the U.K. and Canada. Some even criticized them for complaining about their privacy yet opting to move to L.A.

“Hollywood A-listers move out of LA for privacy. Then there’s Meg and Harry who said they wanted privacy and then move to a place where they won’t get it. We saw this coming,” one commented.

Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine also commented on the issue. According to him, “I’ve been expecting this for some time.”

Meanwhile, another said that the couple did not make a wise decision by doing so since there are more COVID-19 cases in L.A. Many also wondered who will be paying for their security. Others speculate that the duchess will get into politics.

“So they move into a hot spot for CoVid19. Not too wise. Meanwhile, we best not be paying for their security, and also @realDonaldTrump is still PRESIDENT! She must aim to get involved in this election year with her liberal politics,” @MsDianaFrances wrote.
