Meghan Markle’s brother, Thomas Markle Jr., just released a comment regarding the recent royal baby news.

During a recent interview, Thomas said that the news is bittersweet after he found out about it through his friends.

“It’s a little bittersweet because of all that’s been going on but I hope our family can be involved in his or her life. It is really awesome and massive congratulations to them. It’s a big deal and I’m still processing the news,” he said (via Express).

Thomas, who works as a window fitter, said that he is certain his dad is also delighted with the news about Markle’s pregnancy.

“Meghan is the most important thing in his life, so I truly hope my dad is there to witness it and be part of it. I think the baby needs to know that there’s family out there, not just the immediate family there in the UK. Most of all my dad should be there though. This makes him a grandfather six times over. But I’m sure this would mean a lot more to my dad than all the rest,” he said.

The Duchess of Sussex has not spoken to her dad in months ever since news broke out that he suffered a heart attack. He was initially invited to his daughter’s royal wedding on May 19 but was unable to do so because he underwent surgery for his condition.

During a previous interview, Thomas Sr. revealed that he was able to talk to Prince Harry a couple of months ago, and their conversation didn’t turn out well. The former lighting director said that he hung up on the Duke of Sussex.

Markle is scheduled to give birth to her baby sometime in the spring of 2019. Kensington Palace made the announcement on Monday. However, it was revealed that the members of the royal family already knew that Markle is pregnant days before Princess Eugenie’s wedding last week.
