Meghan Markle’s pal Jessica Mulroney issued an apology after Sasha Exeter called her out for threatening her.

According to Exeter, Mulroney was offended by her generic call to action encouraging other bloggers and social media influencers to support the Black Lives Matter movement.

“What happened next was a series of very problematic behavior and antics that ultimately resulted in [Mulroney] sending me a threat in writing last Wednesday,” Exeter shared in a video on Instagram.

“Listen, I am by no means calling Jess a racist but what I will say is this, she is very well aware of her wealth, her perceived power and privilege because of the color of her skin. And that, my friends, gave her the momentary confidence to come for my livelihood in writing.”

According to Exeter, the duchess’ best friend “ticked every single box of what a white woman should absolutely not do during the biggest racial uproar in history.” She added that it blew her mind how Mulroney attempted to threaten a black, single mom like her.

Mulroney commented on the video and apologized. She said she was sorry for any hurt she caused Exeter.

Mulroney also shared a lengthy post on Instagram to publicly apologize to Exeter.

“She rightfully called me out for not doing enough when it came to engaging in the important and difficult conversation around race and injustice in our society. I took it personally and that was wrong. I know I need to do better,” she wrote.

“I want to say from my heart that every word of my apologies to Sasha over the course of the last two weeks privately, and again both publicly and privately today is true. I did not intend in anway to jeopardize her livelihood. We had a disagreement and it got out of hand.”

However, in her Instagram Story, Exeter shared a snapshot of Mulroney’s direct message threatening her with legal action.

“Liable suit. Good luck,” Mulroney wrote.

According to Exeter, she received the message after Mulroney publicly apologized over her post.

“After her public apology on my post yesterday, I received this via DM. Please take in the time stamp in green on the top left of the screen. Also, poor thing didn’t even spell ‘libel’ correctly sigh,” Exeter wrote.

Due to Mulroney’s threat to Exeter, many wondered if Markle’s friend was really sincere with her public apology.

“You need to be clear. Are you publicly apologizing yet CONTINUING to threaten legal action privately?” one commented on Mulroney's post.

“Privately you threatened to sue her! Are you serious? Everyone has seen the screenshot,” another added.
