Melania Trump's former friend and advisor Stephanie Winston Wolkoff regretted the time she served and worked with the first lady.

Wolkoff who used to be one of Melania's closest friends penned an op-ed for Daily Beast where she blamed the first lady for the Capitol riot. In her article, she wrote, "There's blood on her hands," and added, "The First Lady is complicit in the destruction of America."

She also wasn't surprised by President Donald Trump's actions and Melania's silence following the riot at the Capitol. She then expressed how disheartened and ashamed she was when she looked back at the time she worked with the FLOTUS.

"I wish I could say I was shocked by President Trump's actions, but sadly I can not, or say I don’t comprehend Melania’s silence and inactions, but pathetically, they are both expected," she wrote.

"Melania knows how to 'Be Best' at standing up and reading from a teleprompter and not from the heart. She and her husband lack character, and have no moral compass. Although my intentions to support the first lady in the rollout of her initiatives were always pure, I’m disheartened and ashamed to have worked with Melania.”

Wolkoff also said Melania wasn't any better than Trump when it came to "needing attention." For her, the FLOTUS wasted a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a difference in many children's lives. Melania was only there as "an extension of Donald." She also believed Melania was used to "'soften' his image, highlight his showmanship, and smile for the cameras."

"Melania is simply an extension of her husband, just as hypocritical, speaking out of both sides of her mouth, when it suits her best. The tapes push beyond the, 'he said/she said,' and despite attempts at a public image of concern and care; what was on the back of Melania’s jacket wasn’t just by design, it's her mantra. It extends to responsibilities as first lady, which was, 'I DON’T CARE,'" Wolkoff added.

Melania and Wolkoff had a falling-out following Trump's inauguration in 2017. Wolkoff was accused of overspending for the event that she worked on alongside the FLOTUS and she felt that the first lady betrayed her when Melania didn't speak up to defend her.

Last week, she tweeted about Melania's alleged betrayal. She said the FLOTUS "shattered me and the truth into bits and pieces." She also noted that Melania's betrayal "cut deep, ultimately, breaking me emotionally, physically and financially."
