  • Wallen was captured in a video using a racial slur
  • The singer apologized after the video went viral
  • Guyton asked how many times one should give such behavior a pass

Morgan Wallen once again made headlines for negative reasons. The 27-year-old year country singer was captured in a video while using a racial slur. In the video clip, the singer arrived at his home late at night with his friends and could be heard using inappropriate language along with N-word.

The "Dangerous: The Double Album" star spent that night with many friends in Nashville. Upon arrival at home, Wallen and his friends were talking loudly and honking. They were so loud that eventually, neighbors got annoyed and began to record them.

Following the video shared by TMZ, the singer has apologized for his words. The singer issued a statement to ET, confessing that he is "embarrassed and sorry." He further acknowledged that the racial slur is inappropriate and unacceptable, and wished he could take those words back.

"There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better,” Wallen continued the statement. However, the apology statement didn't go well with Mickey Guyton.

The 37-year-old singer took to Twitter to slam Wallen's statement and noted that this is not the first time he has used such language. The "Black Like Me" star asked her followers what should be done about such repetitive racial behavior and said that silence is not going to work.

Guyton asked how many times one should give it a pass and then sarcastically added that she is "asking for a friend." While she noted that canceling isn't something that anyone deserves, Wallen's racial slur is unacceptable.

Previously, Wallen came under fire after he was supposed to appear on “Saturday Night Live (SNL)," but failed to follow the COVID-19 safety measures. The singer was caught partying without a mask in a bar and got canceled immediately.

At that time, the singer took to Instagram and apologized for partying on the weekend before the show. After eight weeks, the legendary comedian Lorne Michael invited Wallen back to perform at SNL.

Wallen performed with Jason Bateman and made fun of his own arrest last May because of public intoxication.
