On Tuesday, 2020 hopeful Mike Bloomberg received another endorsement. This time, it came from a familiar face in Hollywood.

According to People, actor Michael Douglas officially endorsed the former New York City mayor, who is vying for the Democratic nomination against Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, Andrew Yang, and others. Douglas also revealed to the publication that he "hasn't been this excited" about a presidential candidate since John F. Kennedy.

As the "Fatal Attraction" actor sees it, Bloomberg making it to the White House would offer "a rare opportunity to coalesce and bring us back together" and "get rid of all this horrid, negative scare tactics that are going on." Additionally, he noted that "the fact that he's succeeded to the degree that he has is phenomenal."

Douglas also stated that he feels "so blessed that in this particularly difficult time that we have one of the greatest candidates in the history of our elections."

His endorsement follows Judge Judy Sheindlin's own kind words for the one-time mayor. Earlier this month, she appeared in a 30-second clip, which was titled "Judge Him," that showed the TV personality discussing her own confidence in him.

"I like to say you can judge someone's character by what they've done. Mike Bloomberg has done amazing things and will be a truly great president," the "Judge Judy" host said, adding, "No one comes close to Mike Bloomberg's executive achievement, government experience, and impactful philanthropy."

At this time, it remains to be seen who will ultimately face off against President Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election. The 2020 Democratic National Convention will take place between July 13 and July 16 at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
