Miley Cyrus has definitely undergone major image transformations.

The 18 year-old star has devoted great time and energy to work with various foundations and charities, but then she is caught in other issues some may consider scandalous.

She came into the teen scene as 12 year-old Miley Stewart on the mega-hit Disney Channel series: "Hannah Montana." Several years (hit albums, films, and sold out concerts) later, she is caught smoking salvia from a bong with a group of friends.

"As a father, I was alarmed for my daughter's safety but at the same time my whole world was crumbling apart beneath my feet anyway so there wasn't a whole lot I could do," Billy Ray Cyrus admitted after the incident.

Now, the singer was caught smoking a cigarette. It seems as if Miley Cyrus' old household image is floating away completely.

"I would never smoke...I always say that for me, smoking would be like smashing my guitar and expecting it to play. I'd never do that to my voice, not to mention the rest of my body," Cyrus wrote in her 2009 autobiography Miles to Go.

Well... People change, I guess. Unfortunately, fans aren't too giddy about this new vice.

"Kinda sad that @mileycyrus smokes now, i remember back in the good old days when she was hannah montana, she's changed alot," a fan wrote on Twitter. "I'm just worried I don't wanna see her in 5 years doing drugs or like Amy Winehouse," another fan expressed.

While most fans are unhappy with Miley's new habit, the general public appears to be mourning only for her health. Smoking is a hit to her public image, but if this is a habit she plans to keep, her voice will reap the damage as well.
