Tom Cruise has performed some dangerous stunts like jumping a motorcycle off a real cliff in the special footage of "Mission: Impossible 7," which was revealed at CinemaCon on Thursday.

In the 10-minute video, the 59-year-old actor could be seen jumping off a motorcycle in the mid-air, freefalling for a couple of seconds before opening his parachute to land in a gorge.

Since Cruise performed this stunt in Norway without the help of a body double, the actor had to practice a lot in order to perform it perfectly.

"This is far and away the most dangerous thing I've attempted; we've been working on this for years," Cruise said in the behind-the-scenes footage of "Mission: Impossible 7," Deadline reported. "I wanted to do it since I was a little kid."

Director Christopher McQuarrie also revealed that he wanted the clouds to be "misty, not foggy" while filming the bike scene.

The preview further revealed that it took 13,000 motorcycle jumps and 500 hours of skydiving training to ensure that they get the right shot. In the clip, one of the crew members could be seen saying, "Tom Cruise rode a motorcycle off a cliff six times today."

At the end of the preview, McQuarrie noted, "the only thing that scares me more is what we've got planned for Mission 8."

In April, the 53-year-old director shared a photo of the actor performing a stunt on a moving train.

"What would Mission be without a bit of local color?" the director wrote. "Our sincerest thanks to North Yorkshire Moors Railway, the Office for Road and Rail, Eddie Draper, Riley’s & GB Rail Freight and, of course, the incredibly lovely and welcoming people of Levisham."

The action-packed movie was first scheduled to release on July 23. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release date was pushed forward to May 27, 2022. "Mission: Impossible 7" will stream on Paramount+ after 45 days of its theatrical release.

The next installment of the franchise, "Mission: Impossible 8," is slated to release in 2023.
