A 32-year-old woman in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, was charged with torture Wednesday for allegedly forcibly removing blood from her son and abusing all three of her kids.

Jorden Nicole Borders was charged by warrant with three counts of child torture and three counts of stalking in the alleged abuse of her children, an 8-year-old girl, a 9-year-old boy and an 11-year-old boy, Fox 5 reported.

Police started investigating Borders in May when her 9-year-old son's hemoglobin numbers kept dropping. It was determined at a hospital that someone had been removing blood from the minor's body, according to the criminal complaint.

Borders' children told investigators that they saw their mother frequently take their brother's blood and put it in a cup and that she ordered one of them to "flush the blood down the toilet," the complaint stated. The kids claimed that she would often do this before doctor's visits.

The 9-year-old told authorities that his mother allegedly kept drawing his blood and warned him not to tell anyone. The child said it made his body feel "sick-sleepy," according to the complaint.

Investigators also learned that Borders had self-diagnosed her 11-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter with osteogenesis imperfecta, or brittle bone disease. The children were forced to wear casts and neck braces even though they didn't have injuries, they alleged to law enforcement.

The 11-year-old claimed that his mother told him to pretend he had broken bones and would put casts on him with materials she allegedly stole from doctors. The boy spent over two years of his life in a cast, according to the complaint.

While executing a search warrant of the family's home in Crow Wing County, authorities found casting materials and syringes, the complaint stated.

The children alleged their mother would often choke and beat them. They also claimed that she would make them stand outside in the cold with no clothes on and throw objects at them, according to court documents.

The 9-year-old boy said he "was never safe" at home, was often hungry and slept on the floor because he didn't have a bed, the charges said.

The 8-year-old girl claimed her father didn't know her 9-year-old brother could walk as the boy was forced to stay in his wheelchair whenever the father was home.

According to authorities, Borders was receiving money from the State of Minnesota to take care of the 9-year-old boy. She had been nominated for several gifts and money from nonprofit foundations, law enforcement learned.

Investigators estimated that she has received more than $35,000, according to court documents.

Authorities were unable to find Borders when they went to her home Monday to arrest her. She was not in custody as of Wednesday night, according to Fox 5.

As of this writing, there remains no court date set for Borders.
