The mummified body of 'Attack of the 50 Foot Woman' star and ex-Playboy model was found in her Los Angeles home last week.

Neighbor and actress Susan Savage discovered the dead body of Yvette Vickers, 82, on April 27, and according to police, it could have been there for nearly a year. After noticing old letters and cobwebs in Vickers’ mailbox, Savage entered the house to check on her.

According to LA Times, Vickers had lived in the 1920s stone and wood Benedict Canyon home for several decades, which had become dilapidated over time.

“She kept to herself, had friends and seemed like a very independent spirit,” Savage told the LA Times. To the end she still got cards and letter from all over the world requesting photos and still wanting to be her friend.

Vickers, who had also starred in 'Attack of the Giant Leeches,' became a real estate agent after the decline of her acting career, according to Daily Mail.

While the cause of death is being investigated by the Los Angeles county coroner’s office, foul play is not suspected.
