Director Rob Zombie introduced a new character from "The Munsters" to his 2.4 million fans on Instagram on Wednesday.

The 57-year-old director revealed actor Sylvester McCoy will portray Igor's character in the upcoming movie. He also announced it was a wrap for the 78-year-old actor.

"After another long night of shooting on THE MUNSTERS it’s a wrap on our new pal Sylvester McCoy!" Zombie captioned the photo.

"I know you are going to love him as IGOR," the director added. "He a perfect addition to our crazy new world of Gods and Munsters."

In the photo, McCoy can be seen posing for the camera, while wearing his character's horrifying makeup. Zombie, on the other hand, was sitting beside him wearing an orange headphone.

Fans shared their excitement for the upcoming movie and the new character introduction.

"Sylvester McCoy fab actor, mad as a box of frogs _ but Brings class," a fan wrote, while another person commented, "Sooo looking forward to the release of this!!!" A user shared, "So great. He's one of my favorite Dr Who's. He'll be an excellent Igor I'm sure."

Zombie is keeping fans updated regarding the movie's development. Earlier this week, the director dropped the first look at Lily Munster's werewolf brother named Lester (played by Tomas Boykin).

"The Munsters" is a reboot of a popular 1960 sitcom of the same name. The series originally aired on the CBS network, with the first episode dropping on Sept. 24, 1964.

Considering the original sitcom, it featured a family of four that was quite different. The father named Herman looked like Frankenstein's monster, while Lily and Grandpa were vampires. Herman and Lily shared a son, who looked like a werewolf.

As far as the upcoming reboot is concerned, Zombie has not revealed any details about its release date. Besides directing, he also penned the reboot. The first announcement of the project was made in March last year and the filming began in July.

On the personal front, Zombie is married to actress Sheri Moon Zombie, who is playing Lily in the movie.
