Thursday is National Sons Day, which is marked annually to honor sons, to appreciate their various contributions to the family and society, and to also celebrate the those who raise them. National Sons day was established in 2018 by Jill Nico, who wanted the world to acknowledge their importance.

This day can be celebrated by spending quality time with the sons in your life, and explaining how you feel about them. A similar day is observed annually on Sept. 28.
