As if today being Friday isn’t enough of a reason to celebrate, National Vodka Day 2019 is here to give you yet another reason.

The annual holiday is the perfect time to kick back and relax with a delicious vodka-based drink, and, luckily, there’s a recipe for whatever kind of flavor you’re in the mood to enjoy. Want sweet? Bitter? Fruity? Sour? There’s a cocktail for that.

Celebrate National Vodka Day 2019 today (Oct. 4) with these 14 recipes from your favorite vodka and drink brands:

Chopin Old-Fashioned

  • 2 oz Chopin Rye Vodka
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 4-5 dashes bitters
  • 1/5 oz warm water
  • 1 large orange zest, shaved

In a rocks glass stir the sugar, warm water and bitters together. Once sugar is dissolved, add ice and Chopin Vodka. Stir with a bar spoon, do not shake. Fold the orange peel in half and rub it on the rim of the glass and place it inside the cocktail.

Blood Orange Sangria


  • 35 ml Grey Goose vodka
  • 20 ml pinot noir
  • 20 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 125 ml fresh pomegranate juice
  • 20 ml fresh blood orange juice
  • 10 ml crème de mure
  • 3 orange wedges
  • 3 lemon wheels
  • 1 pinch of powdered clove

Add spirits and other ingredients in a wine glass over crushed ice. Stir well and garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds and a slice of blood orange.

The Perfect Ketel One Martini

Stir vodka with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Stoli Cherry Limeade


  • 2 parts Stoli Lime Vodka
  • 1 part cherry juice
  • ½ part fresh lime juice
  • 1 part simple syrup
  • 1 part club soda
  • Maraschino cherries & lime wheel for garnish

Combine ingredients in a glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry and lime wheel.

Mango Mania


  • 2-3 oz. mango bubly
  • 2 oz. Tropicana Mango with Lime lemonade
  • 1 ¼ oz. vodka
  • Lime wheel, garnish (dusted with chili powder can be optional)

Fill a highball glass with ice. Add vodka and lemonade. Top with mango bubly, stir and garnish with a lime wheel.

MADE Chocolate Martini

  • 2 oz Stoli Vanilla Vodka
  • 0.75 oz MADE chocolate extract
  • Drop of simple syrup
  • 1 oz clear creme de cocoa
  • Dark chocolate piece, for garnish

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass. Add enough ice to cover liquid and stir. Strain into a martini glass and drop in the dark chocolate. Top with a hand-shaken cream floater. The recipe is courtesy of Mark and Deb Pellegrino, founders of MADE.

Fall Punch (serves 8)


In a large punch bowl, stir together all ingredients. Garnish with apple slices, orange slices and cinnamon sticks.

Naughty but Spice Martini


  • 1 oz Chopin Vodka
  • 1.5 oz NAVAN liqueur
  • 2 oz apple cider
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 squeeze of lime

Shake all ingredients together with ice; strain into a martini glass.

Citrus Sky


  • 3 oz Lipton Green Tea Citrus
  • 2 oz passion fruit puree
  • 1.5 oz vanilla vodka
  • 0.5 oz lime juice
  • 0.25 oz Agave nectar
  • 6-8 ice cubes

Add all items into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain over crushed ice. Pour contents of cocktail into a tall glass followed by the crushed ice. Garnish with lime wheels and a mint sprig.

Svedka Fresa Bandito

  • 2 parts Svedka Rosé
  • 1 part fresh lemon Juice
  • 1 whole berry strawberry
  • 0.5 parts simple syrup
  • 3 sprigs cilantro
  • Splash of club soda

Muddle all ingredients except soda water in a shaker tin, add ice and strain into a Collins glass over ice. Top with soda and garnish with cilantro sprigs and another strawberry.

The Belvedere Morning Twist


  • 1.5 oz Belvedere Vodka
  • 0.75 oz lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz honey syrup
  • 1 oz matcha tea
  • Ginger beer
  • Dried roses

Make this recipe by Chef Candice Kumai by shaking all ingredients but the ginger beer together. Strain into a highball glass and top with ginger beer. Garnish with dried roses.

One in a Melon


  • 1 medium, ripe watermelon or one liter of watermelon juice
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) Russian Standard Vodka
  • 3 cups simple syrup
  • 3 cups fresh pressed and strained lime juice
  • 12 small fresh basil leaves

If using the whole watermelon, cut it in two pieces, one slightly larger than the other. With a soup spoon, gently scoop the pulp and save the shell, blend or juice the pulp until you have a liter of juice, approximately 4 cups.

Gently rub the basil leaves in between the palms of your hands to release their essential oils, and combine all ingredients in a large lidded container and refrigerate for at least three hours.

Combine all ingredients and top with ORGANICS by Red Bull Tonic Water.

St Petersburg Cobbler

  • 2 oz Russian Standard Vodka
  • 8 large ripe green seedless grapes
  • 2 tsp white granulated sugar
  • Additional grapes for garnish

In a cocktail shaker glass, muddle the grapes and sugar to a pulp, fill with ice and add the Russian Standard Vodka. Shake vigorously for a seven-count. Strain into an ice-filled double rocks glass and garnish with a few grapes in a cocktail pick.
