Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise's third wife, reportedly has enlisted Nicole Kidman, his second wife, as a confidante during her divorce from Cruise.

Us Weekly reported the connection, with the Los Angeles Times adding that Holmes, 33, has been using a disposable cell phone to prevent her calls to Kidman, 45, from being traced. The old thid time's a charm cliché doesn't seem to be the case for Tom Cruise, at least for marriage.

They've spoken over the last few weeks, a source told Us. Nicole has been supportive, saying she's been through it too and to hang in there.

Holmes has been really sneaky about the divorce, the Los Angeles Times said. The Dawson's Creek actress used a disposable cell phone that was given to her by a friend while she was making calls to Kidman for support so she could plan her divorce from Tom Cruise without the actor or his team finding out.

The two have been talking for years. The insider told Us Holmes and Kidman have been speaking since Holmes married Cruise in 2006.

She has been a private friend not many people know about, the source added.

Though Kidman has two children with Cruise, Isabella, 19, and Connor, 17, it's been reported that she is estranged from her kids and Holmes is allegedly worried the same thing would happen to her and Suri.

Holmes wanted a divorce from Cruise because she was worried about Suri's involvement in Scientology, the Daily News said.

As a result, Holmes went to Kidman for support and advice, and insider explained to Us, Nicole offered her support and help.

Despite her sudden divorce petition, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's were able to reach a settlement, within two weeks. Cruise's lawyer, Bert Fields, told Radar Online the speedy divorce has nothing to do with the Church of Scientology.

Let me be very clear about this. The Church of Scientology played absolutely no role in the divorce settlement talks at all.

The mere suggestion that the church was involved in any element of the talks and ultimate settlement is categorically false. Anyone suggesting otherwise is just wrong, Fields forcefully added.

Holmes, 33, was raised Catholic and recently returned to the Catholic Church, as reported by the Huffington Post.

Despite their differences, the couple issued out a joint statement about their estrangement, We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents.
