Authorities in Virginia issued an Amber Alert for a missing 2-year-old child who was abducted from a nursery Sunday afternoon. Police say the boy, identified as Noah Gabriel Trout, "is believed to be in extreme danger."

The child was taken from the Riverview Baptist Church's nursery in Ripplemead by an unidentified female, officials with the Giles County Sheriff's Office said. The child was wearing a gray t-shirt and a bright orange jacket at the time. The child also has a red birthmark on the back of his neck.

Deputies said the suspect was possibly wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, black tennis shoes and a black beanie.

"The female left with Noah in a dark colored van or SUV," deputies said.

Noah was described as a white boy, 2 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 33 pounds. The child has blond hair and blue eyes.

The Giles County Sheriff's Office has shared a photo of the suspect on social media. The FBI, which is assisting in the search, urged the public to come forward with any information that could help find the boy.

"The suspect is still not identifiable so this makes it just a little more of a dangerous situation," said Scott Moye, Giles County Sheriff's Office chief deputy, 10News reported.

This is a developing story.
