“One Piece” Chapter 998 would show a member of the Straw Hats Pirates fighting his worst nightmare, according to the latest set of spoilers.

It looks like Black Leg Sanji would be in one of the most challenging fights of his life in “One Piece” Chapter 998 if the fresh set of spoilers are anything to go by. The new details about the manga’s upcoming chapter are courtesy of redon, gyrozepp95 and Korean insiders. Based on the spoilers, Sanji would fight Tobi Roppo’s, Black Maria.

The “One Piece” fandom knows that Sanji vowed never to hurt any woman and they have seen the cook make good on this promise in the previous chapters. Women are his weakness and he has put his life in grave danger countless times because of his love for women. Fighting the stunning Black Maria would be one of his most difficult battles.

“One Piece” Chapter 998 spoilers also reveal that Black Maria is a Devil Fruit user. She has the Kumo Kumo no Mi model Rosamygale Grauvogeli Devil Fruit, where Kumo stands for "spider." Sanji is one of the most formidable members of the Straw Hats and has beaten a lot of formidable characters in the series, but he is not totally fearless.

In fact, in “One Piece” Jaya arc, Sanji was shown terrified with spiders and huge insects. It was believed that the third prince of the Vinsmoke’s clan has entomophobia and arachnophobia. Apart from that, he is also terrified of the Okama that fought, chased and trained him during the two-year time-skip.

In the previous “One Piece” chapter, Sanji was distracted when he heard the voice of a woman and strayed from Luffy. It was also the reason why Black Maria and her subordinates caught him. What he would do in “One Piece” Chapter 998 remains to be seen. Given these spoilers, it looks like it is going to be a very interesting one.

“One Piece” Chapter 998 would reportedly arrive on Dec. 13 following its one-week hiatus. There will be no break after this, which means “One Piece” Chapter 999 would release on Dec. 20.
