“Orange is the New Black” star Laura Prepon is featured in the newest trailer for the upcoming movie, “The Hero.”

The film follows the life of Lee Hayden (Sam Elliott), an aging, golden-voiced Western icon whose best performances are decades behind him, according to Entertainment Weekly. His life is being spent reliving his old glories while smoking joints with his former co-star and current weed dealer, Jeremy (Nick Offerman).

Lee gets diagnosed with cancer, and this shakes up his life and encourages him to set his priorities straight. He soon meets Charlotte (Prepon), a stand-up comic, and the two of them will get into a relationship. In the teaser exclusively released by the publication, Lee chances upon Charlotte checking out a food truck. The latter approaches the former and strikes up a conversation.

Charlotte is surprised that Lee remembers her name considering that he’s already old. The two characters continue flirting with each other while talking about Sam’s age.

Elsewhere in the film, Lee will also try to reunite with his daughter, Lucy (Krysten Ritter), while searching for one final role he could portray to seal his voice-acting legacy.

“The Hero” is slated to hit theaters in Los Angeles and New York on June 9, but ahead of its premiere, Elliott and Prepon’s film will first be the subject of a retrospective at New York’s The Quad cinema on June 7 and 8. “Roadhouse” and “Mask: Director’s Cut” will also be screened on the said dates. The national release for “The Hero” will be in June and July.

Meanwhile, the official trailer for “The Hero” was released last month. The two-minute clip opens with Lee narrating for a commercial. In the next scene, Lee is driving his car when he receives a call from his agent telling him that a group wants to give him a lifetime achievement award. However, Lee is not pleased because what he needs is a job offer or a script for a new voice project.

In another scene, Lee reunites with Lucy, and the latter is not very pleased to see her father. After working with Charlotte to boost his career, the two attend a huge red carpet event where Lee is finally given his recognition. The clip ends with Lee going up the stage as the crowd cheers him on.
