originals season 2 spoilers
How will Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) retaliate against Klaus (Joseph Morgan, not pictured) for turning their mother into a vampire in Season 2, episode 11 of "The Originals"? CW

If you thought the Season 2 winter premiere of “The Originals” was dramatic, just wait until you see what the hit CW series has in store for fans when episode 11 airs Monday. According to the synopsis for “Brotherhood of the Damned,” viewers can anticipate a bigger family rivalry, heartache and an unconventional wedding ritual.

Next week’s installment will kick off with Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) angrier and more powerful than ever, seeking vengeance against Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and his bloodsucking brethren. Why is Finn so gung ho on seeing the vampire race dead? Well, in addition to Esther's (Sonja Sohn) anti-vampire brainwashing, Finn's not too happy that Klaus turned Esther into the creature that he was taught to despise.

In the midseason premiere, Finn found his mother turned into a vampire and reacted in a rather shocking manner.

“You’re a hypocrite,” he said to his beloved mother. “You caved to temptation rather than sticking with your principles.” Finn couldn’t believe that his mother opted for eternal life as a vampire rather than death. That’s when Finn decided to carry out his mother’s mission by exterminating her.

According to the summary for episode 11, Finn will create “an elaborate spell that allows him to take the upper hand and trap his brothers Klaus and Elijah (Daniel Gillies).” And as Elijah previously stated in episode 10, he is in no shape to fight considering his strength has dwindled since his mother tortured him.

But luckily, Klaus and Elijah will have a witch of their own to help even the odds. Davina (Danielle Campbell) will work hand-in-hand with the Originals in order to save the skin – or should we say blood – of Kol (Daniel Sharman). In episode 10, Klaus locked Davina’s crush away in a bubble of doom (created by Finn), trapping Kol with a bunch of hungry vamps. Klaus did that because he learned that Kol had not placed Rebekah (Claire Holt) in the proper vessel.

But will Kol manage to survive the night with creatures craving his blood? Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) will allegedly “try to calm his volatile pack of suffering vampires,” the synopsis teases, adding that Marcel will revert to his days as “a solider during World War I when his leadership skills were equally brought to the test."

The synopsis concludes by teasing fans that Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) will find herself in a conflicted position when she learns that she and Jackson (Nathan Parsons) must “participate in extreme and unconventional rituals prior to their wedding, which will put them both in a dangerous position.”

“The Originals” Season 2, episode 11 will air Monday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. EST.
