originals season 2 spoilers
Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will spend episode 16 preparing for Dahlia's return in "The Originals." CW

Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) may no longer be a problem for Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), but according to Monday night’s installment of the hit CW series “The Originals,” the parents of baby Hope will have new threats to face in Season 2's episode 16, “Save My Soul.”

After Klaus and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) reunited with their long-lost sister Freya (Riley Voelkel), their bewitched sibling revealed that they weren’t out of the woods just yet when it came to keeping Hope safe. According to Freya, their evil aunt Dahlia (who will be portrayed by Claudia Black) will be paying New Orleans a visit to get what is owed to her: Hope.

Way back when, Esther made a deal with her powerful older sister to hand over the first-born child of every generation of the Mikaelson clan in order to have children of her own. This meant giving Freya up, something Esther’s eldest child would never forgive her for.

“She will come here to take the child’s power for herself,” Freya warns her brothers in the promo video for episode 16, adding that Dahlia will kill “anyone who will defy her.” Following the chilling statement, a scene showing Dahlia walking with a child through a village of slaughtered townspeople appears. Could that be a flashback to when Dahlia abducted Freya?

Dahlia won’t be the only reason the people of NOLA should hide their children. The murderous psychopath Eva Sinclair will be making her reprisal in “Save My Soul.” In episode 15 viewers learned that the vessel Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Seller) was occupying was the body of an evil witch who would slay children after stealing their magic. By the end of the installment, audiences got a look at just how twisted Eva is when she woke as her evil self, killing two teenagers with the slash of a knife.

“The rightful owner of this body is waking up inside of me,” Rebekah told Davina (Danielle Campbell). “And she’s angry."

The wolves will have issues of their own come episode 16, according to reports. Jackson’s (Nathan Parsons) leadership skills will be questioned by his right-hand -- or should we saw paw? -- man, Aiden (Colin Woodell). In episode 15, Klaus used his menacing ways to convince Aiden that Jackson didn’t have what it took to lead the pack. He then promised to help Aiden become the alpha if he vowed to always protect Hope, no matter the cost.

Will Aiden really betray Jack? Can Rebekah find a way to stop Eva’s soul from gaining control of her body? All of these questions will be answered when episode 16 of “The Originals” airs Monday, March 16, at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW.
