A month before the U.S. Open Rafael Nadal was spotted earlier this week taking in some sun with his beautiful girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello in Majorca.

On Thursday the couple was lounging on a luxury yacht, and appeared to be very affectionate, according to the Daily Mail. They also took turns diving into the Mediterranean, looking completely relaxed before the grueling tournament in New York.

Based off pictures obtained by the Mail, Perello was sporting a black-and-white striped bikini, and some cutoff jean shorts.

Both Perello and Nadal reportedly come from the same town in Majora, and have been together for eight years. Nicknamed “Xisca”, she also works for an insurance company.

Currently ranked No. 4 in the world, Nadal has had an incredible season thus far and some of the credit may go to Perello. The 27-year-old Nadal roared back from a knee injury he suffered last year, and has a 43-3 record in 2013, and won his eighth French Open title. He's currently one of the favorites at the U.S. Open, but the field is wide open.

Nadal did lose in the first round of Wimbledon last month, and while it was a disappointment, its given him more time to rest and prepare for the hard court in Flushing Meadows.
