KEY POINTS

  • Ron Jeremy's longtime friend Charity Carson is suing him for sexual assault and battery
  • Carson earlier claimed that Jeremy was a "sexual predator" who "needs to be stopped" in a June interview
  • The porn actor is currently facing 35 criminal sex counts

Porn star Ron Jeremy is facing more sex crime charges after he was accused of sexually assaulting a female friend at a Los Angeles hotel in May in a complaint filed Thursday.

Charity Carson, who has been a friend of Jeremy's for 25 years, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court alleging that the embattled porn star pinned her against a bathroom wall, grabbed her breasts and attempted to force her to touch his genitals.

"[Carson] was frantically screaming and struggling to get away from [Jeremy] throughout the encounter," the court documents read, Variety reported. "Eventually, Plaintiff was able to break loose and flee the room."

Carson reported the alleged incident to the Los Angeles Police Department on June 4. Days later, she opened up about the alleged sexual assault in an interview with the New York Post, revealing that Jeremy never made any sexual advances toward her in their 25 years of friendship prior to that incident.

"He’s a sexual predator and he needs to be stopped," she said of Jeremy in June. "He sees women as toys."

Jeremy, whose real name is Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, has been featured in over 2,000 porn videos since the 1970s, which earned him the Guinness World Record for most appearances in adult films. He was also the subject of the 2001 documentary, "Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy."

The 67-year-old porn star is currently facing 35 criminal sex counts for allegedly attacking Carson and 22 other women over the course of nearly 25 years. Jeremy was arrested on June 23 on charges of rape and sexual assault following a two-year investigation. He was held on $6.6 million bail.

In June, his lawyer, Stuart Goldfarb, told AFP news agency that the charges were a "surprise."

"He is not a rapist," Goldfarb was quoted by the BBC as saying. "Ron - over the years, because of who he is - has essentially been a paramour to over 4,000 women."

"And to allege that he is a rapist is beyond... I mean, women throw themselves at him," the lawyer added.

Despite their denial in June, Jeremy faced additional sexual assault charges in October. Seven new counts were filed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. The new cases involved six women and went as far back as 1996.

"They are more of the same, and why they are piling on at this juncture is strange," Goldfarb said at the time, as quoted by NBC News. "He doesn't deny being with some of these women, but it was consensual."

The porn actor faces a possible maximum sentence of 330 years in prison if convicted on all charges, which include 11 counts of forcible rape, eight counts of sexual battery by restraint and five counts of forcible penetration by a foreign object. He has been sued for sexual assault in Seattle, Tacoma, Washington, and New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Jeremy has pleaded not guilty in the criminal case and is due to appear in court on Dec. 14.
