Powerball
Here's the skinny on the live stream, time, channel and everything players need to know about the $500 million Powerball drawing Wednesday. Reuters

Someone could walk away $500 million richer should the Powerball drawing numbers pop up in the right order. In case viewers aren’t near a television when the drawing results are announced Wednesday at 11 p.m. EST, live-stream footage is available.

Finding the correct channel for the Powerball drawing is a little tricky because it is on a different channel and station in almost every state. People in New York City can watch on ABC, residents of Los Angeles can watch on CBS and those in Houston can watch on CBS, too. For other cities and states, click here. Bear in mind, though, that only 44 of the 50 U.S. states participate in the Powerball lottery.

For those who went out to buy tickets, there’s a 1-in-175.2 million chance of winning the big enchilada, the Latin Post noted. Those are pretty steep odds, but if someone is lucky enough to hit the mark, he or she will walk away with about $337.8 million in cash. A winner can choose to be paid either in the form of a lump sum or in payments spread out over three decades.

If anyone is lucky enough to win, the Powerball operator issued the following statement about official numbers listed on its website: “Every attempt is made to ensure that this list of numbers is accurate, the official winning numbers are recorded in the official draw files as certified by an independent accounting firm. Winning numbers are not official until confirmed by the auditing firm of Carroll and Company, CPAs.”

Powerball changed the game three years ago when the price of a ticket was raised to $2. The move resulted in larger jackpots and more millions, according to its site. Powerball has created more than 1,000 millionaires.

Good luck to all those who participated.
