Popular lotteries in the United States got off to a good start this weekend. For the first time in months, someone managed to win the Mega Millions jackpot on Friday night, taking home $267 million. An even greater prize possibly awaits someone lucky enough to win the Powerball jackpot on Saturday night.

The next Powerball drawing is on Saturday night at 11 p.m. ET. This week’s jackpot is a massive $348 million, with a nearly $100 million difference between it and the Mega Millions jackpot that went claimed on Friday night.

As always, tickets cost $2 each and can be purchased until Saturday evening. To potentially win prizes, players must choose six different numbers from two different number pools. The first five are from the same pool, while the red Powerball number is from another.

Players who correctly guess numbers win money, with more money going to those who get more numbers right. There will also be a Power Play multiplier, potentially increasing earnings for those who get it.

Nobody won the jackpot in Wednesday night’s drawing, but someone did manage to get the Match 5 prize of $1 million.
