Presidents Day, which specifically honors George Washington's and Abraham Lincoln's birthdays, is held annually on the third Monday of February. However, the holiday later turned out to be a more general federal holiday with several businesses and federal offices being closed.

Post offices will remain closed for Presidents Day, but UPS and FedEx are expected to pick up and deliver packages Monday. Many public schools will be closed on Monday.

Banks:

A majority of banks will also be closed. All Bremer Bank branches will be closed. TCF traditional branches and in-store branches (Cub) will be shut. Wells Fargo in-store and traditional branches also won't function.

U.S. Bank traditional branches will be closed and branches in Byerlys stores will be open for limited hours. ATMs will be accessible and TD Bank will still be open.

Stock markets:

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq are closed.

Shopping:

Major retail stores are usually open on Presidents Day, with some sales starting before the holiday for early birds. A number of shoppers might want to stay in, and for them online retailers are also expected to have Presidents Day sales.

Transportation:

Trains and buses will run normally.

Courts:

Since Presidents Day is a legal federal holiday, courts will be closed.
