  • Some critics blamed Markle for Prince Harry's controversial statement

Prince Harry faced another round of criticisms for his remark about COVID-19 that some felt was plagiarized.

The Duke of Sussex joined Ellen Windemuth and Sam Sutaria in promoting Waterbear. During their conversation, Meghan Markle's husband said the coronavirus pandemic was a punishment from "mother nature" for "bad behavior."

"Somebody said to me at the beginning of the pandemic, it’s almost as though Mother Nature has sent us to our rooms for bad behavior to really take a moment and think about what we’ve done," he was quoted by Sky News, as saying.

"It’s certainly reminded me about how interconnected we all are, not just as people but through nature. We take so much from her and we rarely give a lot back."

Twitter users immediately reacted to Prince Harry's statement, with some comparing it to his aunt Fergie or Sarah Ferguson's previous statement she shared on Instagram in March.

"Yes. And he reads Fergie's Instagram," one wrote.

"He plagiarized his auntie Fergi, same as his wife plagiarized Stefanie Tong Chasing Light : Finding Hope Through the Loss," another commented.

"They have no original thoughts of their own," a different user added.

"I see Harry’s wife taught him all about plagiarism cause he’s stealing his aunts words," a fourth user added.

Many also mocked Prince Harry. Several said he was losing grip of reality and some of them even blamed his wife for it.

"Day by day, he is further loosing his grip on reality," one wrote.

"I think Markle is more of a punishment to him than anything lol. He always looks so defeated," another commented.

"I'm sure that's wifey talking," a third user added.

"He can’t say a thing to anyone about anything while his wife has his balls securely kept in her bag. Get your balls back, and then we’ll take you seriously," @CopWithAttitude commented.

"I'll just wait for the royal divorce," another wrote with a smiley emoji.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently sparked divorce rumors after one tabloid claimed that they were having serious issues. But many Twitter users doubted the report because they didn't think Prince Harry could ever leave Markle.

"I don’t believe there were secret calls to Charles. I don’t believe H will leave M, but I honestly wish he would. I don’t know if the RF would take him back. I no longer trust him & would assume he’d be wired for sound, film & exploiting his family like the prior goodbye farce," one netizen wrote.
