Sarah Ferguson’s royal comeback at Princess Eugenie’s wedding is something that Prince Philip has to get on with, says Rebecca Perring, a journalist for Express.

Sources close to Ferguson and the royal family told Perring that Prince Philip just has to deal with the fact that Prince Andrew’s ex-wife will return to the limelight at the Oct. 12 event.

“There’s a lot of excitement about the day. Sarah and Andrew are just thrilled to Euge is getting married and they are all very much in the planning stages at the moment,” the source said.

Last week, reports swirled that Prince Philip might skip Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding because he is not on good terms with Ferguson. It was also reported that Prince Philip cannot stand to be in the same room as Ferguson.

This is one of the reasons why Ferguson was not given a front seat at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s May 19 wedding. While all of the members of the royal family were front and center at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, Ferguson was spotted in the back row of the church.

According to People, Prince Philip is also known for doing whatever he wants so he might decide to attend or not attend his granddaughter’s wedding at the last minute.

“He does what he wants. He made a supreme effort for Harry. I would be very surprised if he did go because he is so estranged from Fergie. I think he will decide at the 99th hour,” the source said.

In related news, Ferguson and Prince Andrew are helping their daughter plan her wedding. On Tuesday, it was reported that the ex-couple will be hosting Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank’s wedding reception at the Royal Lodge. Fewer people are expected to attend the gathering unlike Prince Harry and Markle’s bigger reception that was hosted by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles.
