The official website of the anime has released the spoiler stills and synopsis of Episode 5, giving details about the first match of the group league.

Japan is going up against Greece in two doubles and a single match. The spoilers suggest the Japanese national team will defeat Greece in all three matches of the group league. Shuji Tanegashima is set to shine in the singles match against Greece's Zeus Illiopoulos.

Meanwhile, the members of the Japanese national team could not hide their surprise when they hear about Ryoma Echizen joining the American national team.

In the previous episode, the pre-world cup exhibition match concluded and the teams were headed to the next venue. Ryoma was sweating it out on the practice court, while his team members were seen waiting for him.

Later, in the episode, a mysterious man riding a horse appears before Ryoma and challenges him to a tennis match on horseback.
