Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie, was christened on July 6. Shortly after, his official christening photo was released.

But royal fans were quick to notice how somber Prince William looked in the snap. Princess Diana’s two older sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes also looked unhappy in the picture.

Days after the christening, a royal fan created a hilarious spoof of Archie’s christening photo. This time around, Prince William, his two aunts, and all of the other members of the royal family have fake smiles on their faces.

All of the royals and their relatives’ fake teeth are showing in the photo. Even 2-month-old Archie, who wasn’t smiling in his christening photo suddenly has a huge grin on his face.

On the online forum site Quora, royal fans also shared their thoughts on why they think Prince William didn’t look happy at his nephew’s baptism. Sara Mel said that Prince William’s smile didn’t look very natural in the photo but he has also looked in a similar way during his other public outings.

Mel also said that Markle was probably the one who chose which photo to release to the public to commemorate her son’s christening, and she simply chose one where Prince William wasn’t smiling.

“She would have chosen the best to portray her nuclear family, over others looking their best. But smart lass, she did make sure to choose the one that doesn’t portray Catherine looking bad,” she said.

Another royal fan said that there were so many things that were wrong in the photo. First, the photography was awful. And Prince William wasn’t the only royal who wasn’t smiling in the picture. Everyone’s smile looked forced.

However, Avni Dutta, a product designer, said that looking serious in any photo isn’t a crime so everyone should just let it go.

Meanwhile, Prince William’s somber appearance in Archie’s christening photo once again convinced fans that he’s still feuding with Prince Harry.
