Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Middleton are avoiding certain shades for their outfits.

The monarch is popular in her bright colored outfits. Queen Elizabeth II usually pairs her coat with a matching hat. Sometimes, she even pairs it with a matching umbrella.

Queen Elizabeth II made a big revelation about her choice of wardrobe and according to her there is a particular color that she would never wear in public. Her Majesty avoided this shade for a reason.

“I can never wear beige because nobody will know who I am,” the Queen said according to Robert Harman.

He added that Queen Elizabeth II wears neutral colors when she is relaxing at home but not in public events that require smart dress code.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex also said that the Queen’s choice of colors was for her to be noticed by her fans immediately. Prince Edward’s wife said that the Queen needs to stand out. Queen Elizabeth II also pairs her coats with bright hats, so the people can see a bit of her when she walks by.

Meanwhile, just like the Queen, the Duchess of Cambridge avoids one color. Middleton was never seen in orange and there’s a reason why she doesn’t wear it.

According to style expert Daisy Schubert, Middleton is a “winter” color type and based on her analysis, the Duchess of Cambridge “would look dreadful in orange.” Color analyst Gabriella Winter agreed with Schubert. According to her, the orange shade looks less flattering on Middleton.

Middleton was photographed once wearing a red-orange dress. Winter edited the color of the dress and explained the difference it makes to Middleton’s look.

“If you look closely, you can see a visible yellowish cast on Kate’s skin when wearing that orange-red coat,” Winter said.

“This is essentially scattered orange light around her face because she could only partially absorb the temperature of this specific colour. The yellowish cast is not there when she is wearing colours that are cooler toned though.”

According to the color expert, people absorb and reflect the same colors differently depending on their unique biological makeup. By the looks of things, orange is not the best for the Duchess of Cambridge, so she avoids it.
