Before settling down with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry was pursuing a career in the army and eager to have a good time with his pals. However, partying alongside kids from wealthy families can get a bit expensive.

Following reports Meghan has been carelessly spending on unnecessary luxuries, a resurfaced documentary called the Duke of Sussex’s past spending habits into question.

In the documentary “Secrets of the Royals,” author Katie Nicholl revealed Harry was often allowed to run up expensive tabs without facing any consequences.

“I was told that the Prince was at Amika nightclub many years ago with Chelsy Davy and a group of friends, and he had run up a pretty sizeable bar bill,” the biographer revealed.

“When it came to the end of the evening, of course, the Prince never carries cash on him, none of the Royals ever do,” she explained.

However, rather than call the cops, which is what most business owners would do, Prince Harry was given a pass because of his royal status.

“Prince Harry tried to pay with his army identity card, which of course left the barman rather baffled. He called for the manager to see exactly what to do about this transaction and the bill was waved,” Nicholl said.

The bar incident wasn’t the last time Harry managed to party hard without dipping into his royal funds to cover the bill. “When Prince Harry ran up that £30,000 bill, Steve Wynn, the owner of the hotel where Harry was staying, just wiped the slate clean,” Nicholl recalled.

Meghan and Prince Harry reportedly made extensive renovations to their new home in Windsor which reportedly cost millions. The couple relocated to Frogmore House ahead of the birth of their first child.
