"Rick and Morty" creators have released a new promo for the upcoming season of the popular series.

On Tuesday, "Rick and Morty" producers shared a clip on Twitter that teased the new look of the cartoon series, delighting fans of the Adult Swim show who have been anticipating it for months.

In the 15-second video, the characters of the series seemed to have been redesigned as 90s superheroes. For instance, Rick is no longer a thin old man, but has transformed into a man with gray hair wearing the same visor as Cyclops from "X-Men."

On the other hand, Morty is no longer a sheepish kid. Instead, he looks a bit like the protagonist of "One Punch Man." He also seemed to have developed the ability to transform his right arm into a super-buff one.

Summer and Beth have their own transformations too. Another scene in the clip featured Rick and Morty fighting giant Cromulon heads, with Rick using a battle rifle that is remarkably similar to one in "X-Men: The Animated Series."

Fans are already very excited about the series. In fact, the promo urged followers to ask the producers and creators to finalize Season 4. "Rick and Morty" Season 4 has no release date as of yet.

"Could you stop teasing us and let us know when the next season is coming," one follower wrote.

"Can someone please tell me when the new season of @RickandMorty is coming out!?!!???" another fan commented.

It took a while for Adult Swim to renew "Rick and Morty" for the fourth season. At one point, fans even asked series creator Dan Harmon if Hulu, Netflix or Amazon can pick up the series. But he was positive that they would be renewed in the same network.

"Someone would have to buy it I guess? Maybe they figure that's a better way to make money, what do I know, I'm not a money guy, I'm a story guy," Harmon wrote. "But my instincts tell me we're due for a 'return threshold.'"

In May, Adult Swim finally renewed the series and even ordered 70 new episodes, which is more than double the number of episodes combined in the first three seasons. "'Rick and Morty' is truly what a modern day hit looks like across multiple screens and multiple touchpoints," said Christina Miller, president of Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang, during the Season 3 finale.
