Edward Cullen and Cedric Diggory have a lot in common, despite being from two different worlds, revealed actor Robert Pattinson.

During an interview with GQ, the 35-year-old actor opened up about the roles he's portrayed in the past, including his work in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" in 2005 and "Twilight" in 2008.

Apparently, the opening scenes for the charming vampire and the smart wizard are the same in both movies; the characters are introduced onscreen by jumping out of trees, and it was Pattinson's idea.

"It was definitely my concept to jump out of the tree at the beginning of my intro [in Harry Potter], which I then kind of repeated later on in Twilight," the actor explained. "For some reason, I always have a suggestion to be like, 'Why doesn't he just appear just jumping out of a tree?'" he added.

He then went on to speak about how his character's death in the fourth installment of "Harry Potter" was actually the franchise's first to be seen onscreen. "He's the first death in Harry Potter, which is my claim to fame," Pattinson joked.

The actor added the first scene he filmed for the movie was "so terrifying," as the cameras captured the third task of the Triwizard Tournament. "I remember the first scene I ever shot on that was in the magical maze at the end and I'd never done anything with special effects and stunts and it was a big deal at the time," he said. "It felt very, very intimidating."

Pattinson also shared how he felt while he was yielding a wand during the shoot. "I'm holding it like a gun with two hands thinking like I'm in a "Die Hard" movie," the star joked, "I think I even have one eye closed."

Pattinson was offered the role of the mysterious Edward Cullen from "Twilight" at a time when he had run out of money he earned from "Harry Potter", he said, adding that it was at a point where he had developed an "absolute terror of auditions."

Pattinson believes that "there is something" to the first movie in the four-part "Twilight" series. "I do think there's something in that first movie. You can see that people were taking it seriously ... and it has this passion to it," he said.

Now, Pattinson is awaiting the release of his upcoming movie, "The Batman", which hits theaters on March 4.
